The National youth co-ordinator of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Mr Divine Nkrumah has agree with the assertions made by the founder and leader of the party Dr. Papa Kwasi Nduom that, the Electoral Commission (EC) Boss is to be blame for the party’s poor performance in the 2016 general elections.
Speaking to AMANIE MAJOR NEWS this afternoon 23rd October 2017, Mr Divine stated that “the conduct of the EC boss Madam Charlotte osai in the run up of the 2016 general elections was one of the reason the party did not do well.
He debunked claims that Dr Papa Nduom wants to leave the party for good, according to him, there have been rumours that, the founder of the party (PPP) wants to exits himself from the party but was rather to pave way for the younger generation to take over.
“One of the issues Dr. Nduom spoke about which many people have construed is the fact that NDUOM believes that he belongs to the older generation and that the time has come for some them who are leaders of the party to pave way and create opportunity for the young people like us to come to the frontline and then take up the mantle and make sure that party (PPP) dont lose in the next election.
People have said that Dr. Nduom is barring out and hanging out from active polities and is never true, Mr. Divine emphasize that is never true, he (Mr. Divine) acknowledge Dr Nduom on how how he has contributed to the party as the founder and also supported the party in so many ways and describe him as an icon in the party which many will look up to. he was therefore confidence and believe that the party (PPP) will be in power come 2020.
