The Spain-Ghana chamber of commerce says it is ready to support businesses in Ghana to explore opportunities in Spain in order to expand their growth.
This follows the challenges facing businesses of the two countries to take advantage of the trade and bilateral relationship.
The deputy head of mission at the embassy of Spain, Rafael Rodriguez Ponga, speaking during a tour at the Coca-Cola bottling Ghana here in Accra said, Ghana has become their first country of priority in Africa for business establishment.
“It’s true that we Spain, we intend to look towards partnering American historically but now Ghana has become our priority country in Africa. There are a lot of potentials to work”.
Meanwhile, president of the chamber Nadim Ganim has disclosed that the chamber is training its members in developing their capacities to understand Ghana’s business regulations.
“A bit of lobbying, explaining the problems of all the members of the organization to the ministries with the new taxation laws, custom laws and other things”.
Bethel Yeboah, communications manager at Coca-Cola Ghana limited, commends government’s introduction of new policies to improve the business environment.
“I am encouraging government to still look at some of these policies that’s really making local manufacturing a disincentive as compared to input model and we will encourage government that they should continue doing the good work they are doing”.
