The continuation of the One-week Advanced Driving Techniques for Group B of Service Drivers across the country commenced today, 22nd August, 2022 at the Fire Academy and Training School (FATS)
DO I Ellis Okoe Robinson, representing the Commandant, urged Participants to exhibit a high level of enthusiasm and discipline towards a successful training program.
The Chief Fire Officer, in a speech, delivered by his representative, DCFO Frances Rockson, Director Technical Services, commended the Drivers for their diligent service over the years and further reiterated the need for Drivers to be extra cautious on the road and apply knowledge and skills to be acquired to curb road crashes with the fire appliance.
DO I Patrick Salah, Assistant Director Human Resource and Training in his briefing, specified the rules and regulations for the training program to remind Participants to exhibit disciplinary standards.
Some of the subjects to be instructed include: Driving procedures, Fire Operational Activities, Road Safety, Road Act and Legislation, Defensive Driving Techniques; Driving Security among other driving disciplines.
Also, in attendance was the Director Human Resource and Training, DCFO Gifty Sarpong Mensah and some Senior Instructors of the Fire Academy and Training School.
