50 Pregnant women Graduates’ from Mamprobi Polyclinic Pregnancy School

About 50 pregnant women has successfully graduated from the Mamprobi Polyclinic pregnancy school after one month of intensive education on ways of maintaining good hygiene.

The graduation ceremony which came off at the premises of the clinic on Wednesday 26th February, 2020 saw high top dignitaries in the communities gracing the occasion.

The pregnancy school which has seen massive improvement since it inception has trained and educated about 4000 pregnant women in the community and it environs, with the motive of improving the livelihoods of most pregnant women during their pregnancy periods.

A coordinator of the pregnancy school, Mrs. Charity Frimpong was impressed with the turnout and the zeal exhibited by the participants.

“In all the event has been successful and it was on point, I am really happy and excited.” She said.

Mrs. Charity Frimpong appealed to cooperate Ghana to come to the aid of the school in order to reduce some financial deficit and help educate more women.

“I want to take this opportunity to call on all cooperate entities in the country to come on board to support the school. Even before this graduation, we wrote so many letters to some companies, but we didn’t get any reasonable answer.” She said.

The  Chairman of the Ablekuma Health Committee, Mr. J.O Lamptey shared his impressions after the event.

“This is not our first time we are doing this, it has been going on for sometime now and it has been beneficial and I would like to congratulate the pregnant women and the midwives of this facility for the good job”. The chairman said.

“Our main mandate as a committee is to ensure we liaise with the management of the clinic and help push for the betterment of the facility in the community.” Mr. J.O Lamptey added.

The 50 graduated women were presented with certificates of completion and received products from the clinic.

In attendance at the ceremony was the representative from the office of the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South, a representative from the office of the MCE, Mrs. Vicentia Amponsah, The Assembly member for Ablekuma South, Hon. Korbla Korbla and the marketing manager of Rokmer Pharmaceuticals limited, Mr. Gilbert Nkasia.

The Mamprobi Polyclinic pregnancy school comes off this and every last Thursday of every month with level 100 being the first 3 months, 200 from 3rd to the 7th month  and 300 ranging from 7th to the 9th month.
