The various leadership body’s of the Rev. Joseph Thomas Clerk Memorial Methodist church, Kaneshie, on Friday, 12th May, 2023 donated 50 pieces of plastic chairs to the Kaneshie Polyclinic.
The donation was aimed at facilitating the administrative works at the health facility.
Speaking to our reporter after the exercise, the 2nd Circuit minister, Elva Ernestina Ansah said.
“As a church, we believe that it’s not only in the spiritual welfare but also to be very active in the social needs of the society.
“And so this past Easter, one of our missions was that as we are edifying our selves, we should also come out to the society, community in which we live and share the good news of Christ”.
Hudson Afade Larbi, Steward at the church also stated that the donation falls in line with the church’s project of improving conditions at the various community health centers.
“Sometimes when you come to this place, you would see some patients standing and it doesn’t show well of the center, so we decided that as part of our 1Cedi Project in line with our Corporate Social Responsibilities during the Easter season to contribute and donate some chairs which would go a long way to help them,” He said.
The Administrator of the Kansehie Polyclinic, Mr. Fodjour Yeboah expressed gratitude to the leadership body for the donation.
He also used the opportunity to call on other entities to emulate the kind gesture from the Methodist church.
“This donation is really going to help us, we are going to position them well so that all our patients who come here will get a comfortable place to sit and we are also going to take a very good care of them so they last long.
“Other organizations who are within the vicinity, the Kansehie Polyclinic is here to serve you and we need a lot of support in whatever means you deem fit, you can come to our aid and support us. And we would also make sure we extend the same to our patients,” The Administrator, Mr. Fodjour Yeboah stressed.
