Popular Ghanaian businessman cum socialite, Abass Giwa Sariki, has made his first public appearance since being enstooled as the Ademtenhene of Akropong in the Eastern Region.

Sariki was spotted at the annual Odwira Festival held in Akuapem-Akropong in September 2024.

In pictures from the event splashed on social media, he was clad in traditional regalia and surrounded by an entourage of aides.

Captured seated gallantly at the grand durbar, he was with his kinsmen, embodying the presence of a chief at a public gathering.

In August 2024, despite not being originally from Okuapeman, Sariki was enstooled in a solemn ceremony at the Okuapehene’s palace.

The event was attended by his entourage from the Muslim community, along with numerous guests, including Kumawood actors like Kwaku Manu, Sunsum, Papa Kumasi, Shatta Bandle, and Don Little.

Alhaji Lukeman, a representative from Sariki’s camp, explained that Sariki was enstooled as a chief in Okuapeman due to his contributions to the community, including supporting many individuals and establishing businesses in the area.

This year’s Odwira Festival was hosted by Okuapehene Nana Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III, with other chiefs, including the Aburihene, Amanokromhene, Larteh Ahenasehene, Adukromhene, and many others, who were present at the grand durbar.
