Independent Presidential Candidate for the New Force, Nana Kwame Bediako, has stated that when elected to lead the country, his industrialisation policy will give Ghana the economic freedom it needs to prosper.
Nana Kwame Bediako said that both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) governments have disappointed the country, adding to its economic woes.
According to him, aside from his 12 pillars of economic freedom, he aims to channel that agenda through three transformation plans: equality, equity, and empowerment.
“We have the resources, and if we put such resources into action, we will be able to develop the country. I aim to industrialise the country, and that policy alone can give the country the economic freedom we are looking for,” Nana Kwame Bediako said in a Peace FM news report while addressing traders at Lapaz, Kokompe Spare Parts dealers, and Tip Toe Lane on Day 3 of his Greater Accra Road Tour.
He explained that empowerment aims to provide jobs for the youth, while equity and equality will ensure the fair distribution of national resources to enhance the living standards of all.
According to him, Ghana is a country endowed with all the resources needed for development, but for some reason, both parties, when in power, neglect a key aspect of development, which is industrialisation.
He promised to add value to Ghana’s numerous resources so that instead of importing, the country could export not only raw materials but also a lot of finished products to stabilise the economy and foster development.
“I also have three transformation agendas: equity, equality, and empowerment. I aim to create more jobs and factories to make the country better so that at least everyone will have something to do.”
