One person has been confirmed dead in a motor accident involving a Bank of Ghana bullion van and a fuel tanker.
The accident which took place on the Techiman-Kumasi road near Opoku Agyemang Hospital left cash from the bullion van scattered on the street; and residents in nearby communities began scrambling for the cash.
However, a team of officers drawn from the police and the military came into secure the cash which was later loaded into another vehicle.
The driver of the van and a cashier onboard the van were left critically injured in the collision.
It is believed that the van was transporting an estimated GHC 60,500,000.
