The Ghana Health Service (GHS) on Friday announced 313 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the national case count to 7,616.
The new cases were recorded in five regions; Greater Accra – 183, Ashanti – 61, Western – 51, Central – 16, and Western North Region – One.
The latest update also shows that the country’s recoveries rose to 2,421 from Thursday’s 2,412, an increase of nine new recoveries.
The death toll remains 34, leaving the country with 5,161 active cases.
According to the statistics the Greater Accra Region now has 5,331 cases; Ashanti Region follows with 1,160, Western – 395, Central – 376, Eastern – 117, Western North – 63, Volta Region – 59, Northern Region – 36, Oti – 26, Upper East – 26, Upper West – 22, North East – 2, and Savannah and Bono regions recording one each.
No cases have so far been confirmed in the Ahafo and Bono East regions.
