Don’t Neglect Disables, help build their Potentials – Social Welfare Officer Advises Ghanaians

The Bia East District Head of Social Welfare in the Western North Region Mr Edmund Appiah Kubi, has advised Ghanaians not to neglect persons with Disabilities in life but rather help builds their potentials since there is more hope for them as government has put in place adequate measures to support them.
Speaking to the media at Sefwi Adabokrom when the District Assembly supported fifty (50) Persons With Disabilities through their three percent share of the District Assembly Common Fund, Mr Edmund stated that most disables are skillful and they needed to be supported.
“some even work hard than non physically challenged and so they need to be inspire to use their brain and God’s gift talent to work, cater for themselves in other to stop begging on the street and asked them to take good care of the item’s received.
“Going to the street to beg for ‘Money or Food’ to survive won’t help. We shouldn’t neglect them, let’s help build their potentials to work on their own,” he added.
Item’s disbursed includes 22 Deep Freezers, 1 Laptop whilst 27 persons also received physical cash for start up capital and School fees worth GHC 56,400.00
