The Ablekuma Central Municipal Assembly headed by Hon. Mariama Karley Amui as the MCE, has began on a massive cleanup exercise across some slum areas in the constituency.
The exercise which started on Monday 10th August, 2020 and expected to end on Friday 15th August, 2020 is aimed at clearing slum areas, heaped rubbish and squatters around the ICGC enclave towards the Korle Lagoon in order to keep the area clean.
Aftermath of the demolition, the grounds will be graded and leveled with sand to make the vicinity appealing.
Other constituencies in the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area (GAMA) consisting of Ablekuma South, Okaikoi South and Odidodiodoo are also expected to witness the exercise.
