The Executive Council of the Eastern Regional Football Association (ERFA) has named a five-member Finance Committee to be chaired by Abubakar Braimah, the vice-chairman of the regional football association.
Mr. Abubakar has years of acquired experience in managing finance as he holds an A level in Accounting, HND in Statistics with 28years working experience as Health Information Officer. Currently, the Principal Technical Health Information Officer of Holy Family Hospital Nkawkaw.
He is to be supported by the President of Eastern Rovers FC, Mr. Augustus Amponsah Boateng, who also has much knowledge in the finance sector as Vice Chairman of the committee.
Other members on the committee are Enock Agyare Addo, Martin Owusu Asare and Clement Amankwah.
The purpose of the committee is to assist the executive council in fulfilling its oversite responsibility in monitoring the association’s financial resources, including its fund management.
The Executive Council in a meeting via Zoom named the five-member committee. Their specific responsibilities and duties will be;
Reviewing any additional matters that the Executive Council may direct to them.
They will be responsible for proposing the remuneration of staff and all committee sitting allowances to the Executive Council for approval.
They are to ensure the adequate design of financial policies of the RFA and compliance with the budget and also make recommendations to the Executive Council.
Other duties are to deliver excellent financial report and decision making support.
Advising the Executive Council on financial transactions and investment of the association and provide expertise in matters of financial reporting.
They are to team up with the General Secretary of the RFA to prepare and submit the annual budget of the association.
