“Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has directed that the club should not recruit any new player for at least a season,” Chief of Staff of the @ManhyiaPalace, Kofi Badu at the inaugural meeting of the newly constituted board.

The reason, he said, is to temporarily stop the player attrition rate and work with the current crop of players, who the Asantehene thinks have the quality to push the club to the top.

The maiden meeting which came off at the Sports Hotel in Kumasi, chaired by Dr Kwame Kyei, had Chief of Staff at the Manhyia Palace Kofi Badu read a speech on behalf of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II banning player recruitment for the next 12 months.

According to the Life Patron, this is to enable the club to rely on the current crop of players so as to enable them to gel well and improve teamwork and bonding.
