CEO of ZoDF Alhaji Halidu Haruna Tours Educational Facilities in Zongo Communities

The Chief Executive Officer of the Zongo Development Fund (ZoDF), Alhaji Halidu Haruna, has inspected educational facilities in Zongo communities in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region. The tour is part of his ongoing familiarisation visit to the region, aimed at strengthening the capacity of ZoDF and its stakeholders to improve services and intensify revenue generation.

 

During his visit, Alhaji Haruna inspected educational institutions in Adankwame and Barekese Zongos, with a view to improving infrastructure, teaching, and learning. He also visited selected schools devastated by recent heavy rains and thunderstorms in the region, assuring the communities of an intervention by the Zongo Development Fund in renovating and upgrading the affected educational institutions.

The CEO’s visit has been welcomed by stakeholders, who have expressed hope that the intervention will improve the learning environment and enhance the quality of education in the Zongo communities. Alhaji Haruna’s engagement with various stakeholders also focused on the identification and implementation of sustainable projects and programmes in their communities.

The Zongo Development Fund has been working to improve the lives of people in Zongo communities across the country. The organisation’s efforts have been geared towards promoting education, health, and economic development in these communities.
