CHIEF FIRE OFFICER RECEIVES A DELEGATION FROM INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC RELATION (IPR)

A Team from the Institute of Public Relation (IPR) sent by its President, Mr. Mawuko Afadzinu called on the Chief Fire Officer, Mr. Julius Aalebkure Kuunour in his office today Thursday, 25th August, 2022.

The Head of Public Relations of the GNFS ACFO I Timothy Osafo-Affum welcomed the delegation and referred to the reorganization of the Public Relations Department and the efforts the department is putting in to take advantage of the new media to educate and also communicate the activities of the Service to the general public.

The IPR delegation led by its Vice President, Mr. Henry Nii Dottey praised the Chief Fire Officer (CFO) and his Management team for the support they are giving to the programs and activities of the Service. According to Mr. Nii Dottey, the Institute will be fifty (50) years by next year and the relationship between the GNFS and the IPR started way back where the Institute had some fruitful engagements with the Service and are even prepared to engage the Service in this post covid era with new ways of doing things. “The institute is available, ready and committed in supporting the Public Relations Personnel of the Service” he said.

The Chief Fire Officer (CFO), Mr. Julius A. Kuunuor in his remarks expressed his profound joy about the new wave of change in the Service and credited it with the diligence of its Public Relations Team. He revealed that the Service has plans to expand its Public Relation Officers to the District levels and will need the help of the Institute to build their capacity. CFO Kuunour pledged his commitment to support activities that will inure to the benefit of the two organizations.

In attendance at the brief engagement meeting were DCFO Mark Brako-Appiah, the Director Finance; ACFO I James Oheneba Yaw Kwateng, the Commanding Officer- Headquarters; ACFO I Emmanuel Inkum, the Chief Staff Officer and Mr. Charlse Agyei Tetteh, the Executive Secretary to the institute.
