CODA Initiate IPEP Projects In Jomoro Constituency

Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region is benefitting from several projects from the Coastal Development Authority (CODA). The projects are being funded by the Government of Ghana under the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP).

 
Among the variety of projects being constructed are teachers’ quarters, health center wards, durbar grounds, football fields, and community centers among others.
 
At Twenen, New Nzulezu, Mangyea and Bonyere communities, the Authority is constructing teachers’ accommodation as part of improving educational infrastructure. Also, there is the ongoing construction of a health center ward each for Tikobo Number 1, Samenye, and Elubo communities.
 
Other ongoing projects include durbar grounds and community centers at Alluwole, Boakwa, and Twenen communities. Construction is underway for a small market at Tikobo, a standard football field sat Ekpu, while Cocoa Town is benefitting from a shed with TV and 150 chairs. At New Town Wharf, road and bridge construction ongoing.
 
The projects, which were selected through consensus, are aimed at accelerating the social and economic development of the area based on identified prioritised needs.
 
The IPEP allocates one million dollars to each constituency annually to undertake special projects. IPEP is also known as the one million dollars per constituency project.
