Due to the fast spread of the virus, major sporting events have been suspended until at least a certain period, including Ghana’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations double-header against Sudan.

The ties against Sudan would have been the former Black Stars player and now head coach of the team’s first games in charge of the squad.

CAF has however not stated when the AFCON qualifiers will be played.
