Ghana’s biggest french sports store Decathlon, are set to embark on a citywide clean-up exercise to mark this years World Clean-Up day on Saturday 21st September,2019 across three tap-ins in Accra.
The Coco Beach Resort at Nungua, Kawukudi Basketball court behind the 37 military hospital and Bawaleshie football park at East Legon are the tap-ins selected for the clean-up exercise on Saturday.
The initiative which started last year with government agencies, local authorities, partners and customers as well as the general public was to help keep the environment clean.
Mr. Kwasi Tabury, the country leader for Decathlon Ghana said their main vision is to create a company with a strong and positive impact in Ghana.
“we are social entrepreneurs at the service of Ghanaians and we believe that; thanks to Decathlon Ghana, our communities through sports, will have more pleasure, better health and better social integration, thus live life to the fullest”. he said.
“as part of our corporate vision, to preserve our planet and its people to protect our purpose”. he explained.
Decathlon is a French sports retail company with over forty (40) years experience in the design, production and retail of sports http://www.decathlon.com.gh equipment and gear in about fifty (50) countries worldwide. They also operate two retail stores, at the Junction mall (Nungua) and Lizzy sports complex in East Legon, to make sports accessible to Ghanaians.
