The Minister in charge of Parliamentary Affairs, Hon. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has admonished media personnel in Ghana to be circumspect in their reportage and analysis of national issues, as some baseless criticisms end up destroying the lifetime achievements of people and their personalities.

He urged Ghanaian media practitioners and political commentators to criticize to improve the development of the country instead of setting pessimistic and destructive agenda that would hamper the development and promotion of the national unity.

He made the passionate appeal at Drobo during the inauguration of Jaman Radio 103.7 MHz established by the Member of Parliament of Jaman South, Hon Yaw Afful, Deputy Minister of Aviation, to help promote democracy and create employment for residents in the area.

The inauguration witnessed the presence of the first Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Joseph Osei Owusu, Hon. Anyimadu Antwi, MP for Asanti Akyem Central and the legendary Kwame Adinkrah of Angel Broadcasting Network’s Pure FM.

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Joseph Osei Owusu also seized the opportunity to congratulate the Member of Parliament on his remarkable initiative.

He, however, cautioned the staff and media practitioners in Ghana against politicization of national issues and urged them to always be circumspect in their reportage.
