Black Stars rejects, Abdul Fatawu and Mohammed Alhassan, arrived in Accra from Dubai on Wednesday for Sunday’s Normalisation Committee Special Competition Tier 1 semi-final against Hearts of Oak at the Accra Stadium.
Fatawu, a livewire of Asante Kotoko with eight goals to his credit so far in the competition, and Hearts’ reliable central defender, Alhassan, were dropped from the Black Stars final squad alongside Abdul Majeed Waris, Yaw Yeboah and Ebenezer Ofori on Monday.
The arrival of the two players, which is a blessing in disguise for the two giants, ended the debate as to whether they would be available for their respective clubs on Sunday.
Graphic Sports Online investigations further revealed that Alhassan would join his Phobian teammates in their secret camp near Cape Coast on Wednesday evening.
However, Fatawu is due to arrival in the Kotoko camp in Asante Mampong on Thursday morning.
Obviously, the two players will be the main attraction in Sunday’s game.
Hearts and Kotoko are chasing for the sole CAF Champions League ticket and will go all out for victory on Sunday to secure a place in the grand finale.
