The first batch refresher course for Service drivers drawn from the various Stations in the country ended with a short closing ceremony on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the Fire Academy and Training School (FATS).
DCFO Frances Rockson, Director Technical Services who represented the Chief Fire Officer in a speech read on his behalf, urged the drivers to be extra cautious on the road by observing all road traffic regulations, make use of the safety accoutrements and knowledge acquired to reduce if not prevent crashes with the fire engines.
The second batch of the training will commence on Monday, August 22, 2022 and is expected to be very insightful with over 100 drivers selected from all over the country.
In attendance at the closing ceremony were also the Director Human Resource and Training, DCFO Gifty Sarpong Mensah, Deputy Director of Transport, DO I Awaafo Adanka, Assistant Director of Human Resource and Training, DO I Sallah Patrick and some Senior Instructors of the Training School.
