The Ghana Volleyball Association as part of preparations towards the Zone 3 Volleyball Nations Cup to be held in Ghana, has on Thursday, June 27, 2019 inaugurated a Nine-Member Local Organizing Committee who will ensure a successful organization of the tournament.
The LOC have been tasked to seek for sponsorship and funds to host the tournament as well as accommodation for the various participating countries and also ensure a successful competition.
The nine member LOC will be chaired by Mr. Albert Helegbe, Mr. Bernard Mornah as vice, Mr. Kwadjo Fordjour, Mr. Anani Abubakar, Mr. Gilbert Osabu, Mr. Awuku Alfred Offei Akuffo, Mr. Sam Akor, Mr. Edem Dotse and Mr. George Tettey as members.
Speaking at the inauguration, President of the Ghana Volleyball Association, Mr. Paul Atchoe said that nine countries have confirmed their participation in the tournament, with Lebanon House being the venue of attraction.
The countries are Ghana the host nation, Nigeria, Liberia, Niger, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin and Mali
The tournament has been scheduled to start from 2nd to 9th August, 2019.
