Bubuashie based Ideal Ladies FC defied all odds and got a sweet revenge over the Ghana Armed Forces football team when they emerged champions of the Regional Football Gala competition held over the weekend.
The team which has talented and skillful players, but lack much financial support are appealing to companies and individuals to help them with transportation, logistics and a few solutions to make the young ladies stay and continue to play football to the highest level.
Naa Dromo, the founder who is a former welfare officer of the Black Queens urged the media to look at the lower divisions of women’s football and support all the clubs in totality.
“The media have to promote all female clubs and not only those in the premier division, because there are some players in Ideal Ladies who are knocking on the doors of the national teams and professional teams outside Ghana” she said.
Ideal Ladies will be joined by Army Ladies, Blessed Ladies, Faith Ladies to play in the Knock Out Competition.
