The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has settled on September 28 to either select or elect parliamentary candidates for the 2020 general election in constituencies where the party does not have a sitting Member of Parliament (MP).
One of the few constituencies that will be the hottest in Accra is the Odododioodioo constituency which comprises of Akoto Lantey, James Town ,Bukom and its environs.
Mr. Micheal Nii Yarboi Annan who is an aspiring member of parliament for the Odododiodioo Constituency in an exclusive interview with Nii Lartey Larkai on Amanie fm, has revealed that it is time to unseat the NDC regime after twenty years.
“For the past twenty years now the NDC have been on the seat of the Odododiodioo constituency and I think its time to pull the “Bull by the Horn”, and bring the NPP back to power”
Mr. Micheal Nii Yarboi Annan said he strongly believes he is eligible to represent the constituency in the upcoming elections and has the trust of his people.
“I am eligible to contest and win the election, because I have done all my checks and balance, and I have the hope and trust of my people”. he stressed.
The aspiring member explained that, politics is service to the people and not the other way round and with respect and humility they can reach the highest level.
He further advised the residents in the constituency and the youth at large not to indulge in social vices and immoral activities but rather engage themselves in useful and proactive activities.
Other candidates who have declared their intentions to contest the seat are Nii Lantey Bannerman, Lawyer Reginald and Nii Bi Aryee Bontey who was once a Member of Parliament.
Whoever emerges the winner will face-off with the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) candidate who is also the incumbent MP for the Constituency, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije, who is going unopposed to contest the seat for the third consecutive time.
Mr.Micheal Nii Yarboi Annan is the Chief Executive Officer of Dons Promotion, a boxing entity.
