Joseph Agbeko Foundation to stage New Generation Fight Night At Kitase, Peduase on Nov. 8

The upcoming New Generation Fight Night, organised by the Joseph Agbeko Foundation, is generating excitement and attention in Kitase.

The event, which will take place on November 8, 2024, at the Kitase Basketball Court in Peduase, Eastern Region, promises to bring thrilling boxing action to the community during the festival.

The event will feature Benedict Badoo, a rising star in the light heavyweight division and the nephew of Joseph Agbeko, also known as the Fresh King. Badoo will make his professional debut against the experienced George Amuzu, a match that has already piqued the interest of local boxing fans.

Joseph Agbeko, who goes by the title Torgbui Kaletor II, explained that the tournament aims to showcase the next generation of boxing talent, with juvenile and amateur bouts highlighting future stars of the sport. He expressed gratitude to the local chiefs for their strong support in making this event possible.

A two-time IBF Bantamweight Champion and former IBO world titleholder, Agbeko has organized the event to promote local tourism and boost community engagement.

The tournament, sanctioned by the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), is being held in collaboration with Game TV. Agbeko, who once worked with renowned promoter Don King, emphasized that the people of the Eastern Region deserve to celebrate their festival with boxing, the nation’s favorite sport.
