The Chief Executive said this at a send-off party for the Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services, Mrs. Rita Aryee from active #service.

He noted that Korle Bu was grateful to her and all nurses for efficient care delivery.

“The best Hospital’s are the ones with the best nurses and not necessarily good doctors”, Dr. Ampomah said.

He added that “there can be an average doctor but if he has good nurses in his team they always come out with good results”.

Mrs Aryee in her statement encouraged nurses to see the profession as a calling and be dedicated.

She encouraged her senior colleagues to mentor the junior ones, adding that the junior nurses should also allow themselves to be moulded in order to be effective leaders when the mantle was handed over to them.

Mrs. Aryee was grateful for the support she had received from the Hospital’s Chief Executive, Management, nurses and staff of the Hospital during her tenure.

The send-off party was graced by Directors, senior nurses, staff of the hospital and loved ones.
