The A&E Department held a send-off program for two (2) of its retirees who performed creditably during their period of service.

The occasion was also used to award 12 staff members who worked in last years.

The Head of the Department, Dr. Fredrick Kwarteng, in his address mentioned that the award program was not to show that others were not working hard but it was to serve as a form of encouragement to staff.

Dr. Kwarteng thanked the two retirees for their contribution to the Department while in active service; sharing some memorable encounters and experiences he had had with them.

The two retirees were Principal Nursing Officers; Ms. Christiana Duah Kankam and Ms. Felicia Laryea Boye. They both received a citation, a cash price and a table top fridge from the Department.

The retirees expressed their gratitude to Dr. Kwarteng and entire staff of the Department for the recognition.
