The Liberia Football Association (LFA) held a meeting with second division clubs on several issues at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) on Tuesday.
Those present were Almighty FC, Barrack Young Controllers (BYC-II), FC Fassell, Gardnersville FC, Heaven Eleven, Jubilee FC, Junior Professionals, Keitrace FC, Mighty Blue Angels, Muscat FC, Sandi FC and Tony FC.
The meeting centered around the Fifa coronavirus disease (Covid-19) regulations on the status and transfer of players, the status of the 2019/2020 Orange national league and Petro Trade Cup and the certification of the transfer matching system (TMS) and domestic TMS.
On the league/cup, some clubs said the season should be canceled while others want the LFA to continue to observe the health situation in order to arrive at a decision.
On the TMS/DTMS, the use of passports and or national identification cards as registration document at an agreed season was discussed for many reasons, including the stress of printing passports for players called-up for national duties and allegations of age cheating.
LFA President Mustapha Raji, Vice Presidents Sekou Konneh and Wilmot Smith, deputy secretary-general John Bonah, technical director Henry Browne and competitions and legal director Benedict Yarsiah attended the meeting.
The meetings will end with upper female division clubs at 9:00AM on Wednesday.
