Lower Tier side Alajo United Football Club To Meet Overlord of Alajo

Alajo United football club, a division 2 side at Alajo, a suburb in Accra are set to engage the king of the Alajo traditional area, His Royal Majesty Nii Ayi Quaye (I).

The engagement been scheduled to take place at the forecourt of the kings palace on Sunday 3rd May, 2020 at 3pm.

It will focus on the progress and challenges faced by the management members as well as the technical team since inception in 2009.

Speaking to a member of the communication team, Richard Achore revealed that, due to the ban on public gatherings, the number of contingents to be present has been cut-off.

“Due to the spread of COVID-19 and ban on public gatherings by president Akuffo Addo, the team has decided to reduce the number and also to allow social distancing among the contingents to be present tomorrow. He said.

“We have a total number of 16 members, comprising of management, board, technical and players who will be present at the kings palace come Sunday”. Richard Achore added.

Alajo United football Club was founded in 2009 by former Black Stars striker Mohammed Odoi and has nurtured and trained upcoming top talents being the likes of Ebenezer Niiquaye, Umar Awidu, Jonathan Quartey, Dzansi Mawuli Joshua and others.

The club recently appointed former Black Stars and Ghanaian international Edward Agyemang Duah “Rambo” as an ambassador.
