The Ministry of Communication today re-launched the Gh Covid-19 Tracker to help in tracing people who have come in contact with Covid-19 positive individuals.
The app is meant to augment the government effort in the fight against the global pandemic.
According to the minister during the event, the MOC have also established the emergency communication system to provide timely information derived from mobile phone usage to facilitate contact tracing.
With support of the ministry of communication, the Ghana health service has been empowered with system to help them have access to information in order to help preserve the health and safety of all Ghanaians.
In an interview with our reporter, Nsor Paul mensah, she stated that they will work with diplomatic measures to reduce risk of Covid-19 cases.
She also noted that it is critical the Gh Covid-19 tracker becomes integrated application for tracking symptoms, contact tracing and quarantine management to enable safe opening of the economy.
The ministry of communication along with the Ghana Health Service are mandated to ensure the use of the application by all citizens and enterprises across Ghana.
