The Municipal Chief Executive for Ablekuma Central, Hon. Frank Nkansah, together with his entourage, joined pupils across selected schools to mark the 2025 edition of My First Day at School on Monday, September 29, 2025.
The visited schools included, Kaneshie West 1 Basic School, Holy Family KG/Primary, Buhari Islamic Basic School and Pres. J. E. A. Mills Basic School.
The Buhari Islamic Basic School, championed by the Member of Parliament, Hon. Abdul Latif Dan, has recently started a Junior High School (JHS) wing and stands out as one of the best government schools in Ghana, and equipped with a modern computer laboratory facility. This reflects the MP’s strong commitment to improving educational infrastructure and opportunities for young learners within the municipality.
Addressing the pupils, Hon. Frank Nkansah reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to quality education. “The future of our municipality rests on the shoulders of these young ones. We must give them every reason to enjoy school and remain committed to their education,” he noted.
Also present was a representative of Hon. Abdul Latif Dan, whose participation highlighted the strong partnership between the Assembly, Parliament, and other stakeholders in advancing educational development.
The occasion was marked by motivational interactions, distribution of school items, and words of encouragement, leaving smiles on the faces of the young learners and setting a positive tone for their educational journey.
The exercise was supported by the Maximum Joy Foundation, an NGO dedicated to promoting education and child development.
