The opposition party National Democratic Party (NDC) has inaugurated the Odododiodioo constituency Zongo Caucus working committee in Accra.
The inauguration was in line with the party’s vision to foster unity among the constituency executives and the entire party members.
According to the Coordinator of the constituency, Alhaji Amadu Jibreel said the program would bring together the council of elders in the constituency, the MP, and the executives. And that it was to inform the executive not to rest, but to start working hard to ensure that the party retains the seat in the upcoming elections.
He said the occasion was to educate the Zongo communities on the legacy of the former president, John Dramani Mahama and the Member of Parliament for the constituency, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye.
He mentioned what he described as “a few of NDC projects” in the area, to include the Sempe SHS, the Ayalolo SHS, renovation of the Ayalolo primary school, a wash room for same school, ambulance for the community, and renovating the Ussher polyclinic maternity block.
The communication officer for the party, Muazu Yussif stated that the NDC had the Zongos at heart, but now, the NPP had started confusing the people in order to get their votes, and so the programme was to diffuse all such lies and help secure the people’s commitment in the party.
He said their message was to educate the people on activities of the NDC for the Zongos and rally support for the party.
The ceremony attracted a lot of top dignitaries and sympathizers of the party.
