The New Juaben Table Tennis Club, NJTTC, undoubtedly one of the most celebrated and longest existing Table Tennis Clubs Ghana can boast of today made the headlines by tracing its roots to the Yiadom Hwedie Palace where the Club was birthed, had its unbiblical cord cut & buried
The five-man entourage that paid the visit was made up of two Directors in the persons of Isaac Opoku ( Asawa) and Frederick Otti-Boateng, it also includes three Executive Members led by the Club’s chairman, his Vice as well as the Organizer.
The retinue on behalf of the club was there to first and foremost congratulate the king on ascending the New Juaben Omanhene throne and to officially render the account of their stewardship to the club owners.
The Chairman, acting as the spokesperson gave an account of the success story as well as the challenges encountered over the years. Among the challenges he disclosed was the club’s predicament of lack of training facility to train the players.
Daasebre Nana Kwaku Boateng the 3rd in his response expressed his heartfelt appreciation to both the Directors, Management as well as the playing body for nurturing and protecting his Uncle’s Legacy.
Nana ‘Ababio’ also seized the opportunity to assure the Club of his unflinching support and also gave his word that he will ensure the club acquire a plot of land to put up a befitting playing facility for itself.
