The New Juaben Table Tennis Club (NJTTC) has officially unveiled the date for the upcoming first ever national table tennis open championship dubbed “Asawa National Table Tennis Competition” on Sunday, 8th March, 2020 at the New Juaben community center in Koforidua.
The event which has been scheduled to take place in Koforidua on April 18 this year, would see over 60 players both men and women across the country fight for bragging rights and supremacy.
The chairman of the club, Mr. Felix Adjetey Sowah expressed his profound gratitude to all the sponsors especially Isaac Opoku ‘Asawa’ and Nana Yaw Boateng for their support.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank all the sponsors who are on board to make this event a memorable and a big one”. He said.
“I also want to say that may God bless our former national players, Isaac Opoku ‘Asawa’ and Nana Yaw Boateng (Abishe) for the kind gesture shown towards this club. Without their support we wouldn’t be able to do this”. The chairman added.
A whopping amount of 7,100 cedis has been included as a total cash prize for the competition.
