This is the appetizer for my series on, “Of coups: constitutional, economic, military, and parliamentary/partisan/popular or CEMP3.

The economy is in tailspin because of your actions, misactions, and inactions, the last thing any sensible person will do is to multiply this unprecedented economic crisis by political, constitutional and social crises.

This government has released a budget that nobody even in the asylum believes its projections. You have the widest fiscal deficit of any junk rated economy. Of over 200 countries in the world, you’re only better than war ravaged Sri Lanka in % of revenue used for payment of interest on loans. In Africa, where you’re the largest producer of gold, your currency is the 2nd worst performer threatening to overtake the worst performer.

Yet bizarrely, you’ve decided to arrest a young activist who said IF you try to pick pocket him and use the money on girls and shower-in-the-air, he’ll hit you back. Why don’t you just stop the pick picketing? What do we do to pick pickets? Carry them shoulder high? Go and try that trade at the Accra Sports Stadium and be caught.

Ephesians 6:4 – Fathers don’t provoke your children unto wrath.

That’s the message of Oliver to Nana Akufo-Addo. He says it clearly, if you provoke him and the youth of this country, he’ll rain his wrath on you. Simple. Which part of his statement don’t you understand?

The market women said the same thing, have you arrested them?

You have the right to govern but you don’t have the right to misgovern.

Your duty in the preamble of the constitution is to use the power we have vested in you to secure for ourselves and posterity; 1. Blessings of liberty, 2. Equality of opportunity, and 3. Prosperity. Which of these have you done? Instead of prosperity, you’ve accumulated debt for Oliver, don’t you think that’s enough provocation Father President? Sir, you have lost the moral and constitutional right to be the President of Ghana. Oliver and the market women have the patriotic duty to warn you that any further misaction from you will incur their wrath. They have the right to protect the preamble and the spirit of the constitution. You’re the one inciting fear and panic. You’re the one provoking your ” children ” to anger. Your brain dead advisors are pushing you further into the bottomless pit.

Your charge of treason or whatever against Oliver is not sustainable. You’re pushing for unnecessary political, constitutional and social crises that will further erode the world’s confidence in your ability to govern. This is such a stupid own goal. Investors are withdrawing their investments to safety and others are thinking of doing the same, the last thing they’ll want to hear is coup and rumors of coup grossly publicized by a clueless, confused and corrupt government.

You’re destabilizing Ghana. You’re putting the judiciary into a tight corner. It’s the judiciary that you’ve put on trial, not Oliver. The whole world is watching.

FYI, the ¢ has slumped by 10% against the $ since 1st January, and therefore Ghana’s GDP in $ has decreased by 10%. This means the debt to GDP which stood at 81.5% (by Bloomberg) at the end of last year is now 90.6%. Sir, we are dangerously moving towards Lebanon, and as its often said, “if the the cause is the same, the effect also remains the same.” If you sow the seeds of Lebanon, you’ll reap the harvest of Lebanon.

You’re warned Father Agent Provocateur.
