
He stated that a comprehensive and verified database has been compiled to capture all Ghanaians in the affected countries, including individuals on short-term visits and those merely passing through.
He further disclosed that Ghana’s diplomatic missions in the region have been instructed to locate and register citizens who may be interested in leaving.
According to him, all missions have been mandated to identify Ghanaians within their respective jurisdictions who are seeking evacuation, so their requests can be urgently reviewed by the government.
Mr. Ablakwa also disclosed that Ghana’s diplomatic missions have begun facilitating the departure of several citizens through carefully identified border routes.
He noted that a significant number of Ghanaians are currently being supported by embassy officials to exit via strategic crossing points in the region.
He reaffirmed that the government places the highest importance on the protection and well-being of its citizens abroad, stressing that their safety and welfare remain its foremost concern.
