The Member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa yesterday welcomed a high led delegation from the Fodzoku Traditional Council at the parliament house.
The meeting was to discuss the final funeral rites of the late Togbega Afum Asare (III) who passed away in 2018 at aged 95.
Hon. Ablakwa in his remarks, commiserated with the families over their loss, adding that Togbega was a pillar to reckon with and a man full of wisdom.
“Togbega Asare III who died at 95 was an oracle of wisdom, a pillar of stability and a traditional ruler with a golden heart who cared deeply for his people throughout his 73-year reign,” he said
“I recall his immense support when we constructed the Fodzoku-Juapong road, finished the Fodzoku community electrification projects and his generous land donation for the USAID pre-school project. His legacy would be eternally celebrated.,” he added
The Member of Parliament for the Klottey Korley constituency, Hon. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings also expressed her sympathy to both families.
