The recognized kingmakers of the Osu Traditional Area, Osu Kinkawe Dzaase has described the supposed installment of the new osu Mantse as mischievous and frivolous.
The statement which was signed and copied to Amanie fm, stated that the attempt by Oklemekuku, head of family of Teinor We and others was aimed at satisfying their parochial interest as well as disrupting ancient traditions.
The statement read that the Osu Kinkawe Dzaase will at the appropriate time install a new Osu Mantse.
“We want to put it on record and make it categorically clear that a new Osu Mantse has not been installed by the Osu Kinkawe Dzaase, the only accredited Dzaase with the sole mandate and authority to install and ensure that the rightful person is fully installed for the good people of Osu”, the statement read.
It also disclosed that the Owuo We and the Dowuona We are the only recognized royal houses to present a candidate for the position of the Osu Mantse.
The Osu Kinkawe Dzaase urged the president of the Republic, Nana Akufo Addo, all Ghanaians and the good people of Osu to treat the purported and criminal installation with the high level of contempt it deserves.
