Pedestrian Bridge for Tetegu

The people of Tetegu will soon heave a huge sigh of relief with the construction of a pedestrian bridge across the main Mallam-Kasoa Highway at the Tetegu junction.

This was revealed to the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly (WGMA), Hon. Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor, by the Principal Engineer of the Urban Roads Department, ING.Neville Dodoo-Quartey on Thursday, 25th August 2022.

The construction of the overhead bridge has become necessary due to the frequent knockdowns of people crossing the main road.

The Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly (WGMA) on its part, has sent proposals to the Ministry of Roads and Highway an intervention.

ING. Dodoo-Quartey explained the construction with a drawing of the project.

He presented the drawing to the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Patrick Kumor (MCE).

The meeting with the engineers of the Urban Roads Department was attended by the contractor for the project, Asona Enterprises Limited, represented by the Construction Manager, ING. Benjamin Dadson and the consultants, Janson Bridges, represented by ING. Pieter Van Stiphour.

The Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Mrs. Mercy Quansah Ogoe and Mr. Ignatius Fred Quist of the Municipal Roads Department were present at the meeting.

The project has an eighteen (18) months duration.
