The Greater Accra Regional Command of the Ghana National Fire Service marked the Pull Out Ceremony of Deputy Chief Fire Officer (DCFO) Ebenezer Simpson at the Greater Accra Regional Headquarters of the Ghana National Fire Service in Accra, Korle Bu, today.
The ceremony was attended by The Ghana National Fire Service Chief Fire Officer Mr. Edwin Ekow Blankson, the Member of Parliament for Ablekumah South Hon. Alfred Oko Vanderpujie and the Deputy Chief Fire Officers of various regional commands of the Ghana National Fire Service.
VID_20190726_125108 Mr. Ebenezer Simpson was the Greater Accra Regional Commander of the Ghana National Fire Service and a former student of the University of Ghana, Legon, where he obtained a diploma in statistics in the year 1988, he broadened his knowledge and further studied at the University of Cape Coast in 2008 with a post-graduate diploma in organization development awarded by OCIC in UK. He completed a six month cadet corps training at the Fire Academy and Training School in 1990, he managed enlistment in conflict and crisis management at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College.
DCFO Simpson was employed in many areas of the Ghana National Fire Service and commanded the Greater Accra Regional Fire Service from;
2015-2019, He was the Commandant of the Fire Academy and Training School (FATS).
2011-2015, acting Director of Safety, National Head Quarters.
2009-2011, Regional Safety Officer, Ashanti Region.
2003-2004, acting MFO Sekondi-Takoradi.
2000-2004, Regional Safety Officer at Western Region.
1997-2002, Regional Administrator, Western Region.
1994-1997, District Fire Commander, Asankragua Fire Station, Western Region.
The Chief Fire Officer (CFO) in his welcome speech addressed
Mr. Simpson as a great man and an advisor to him when he was kicking against rocks about certain management decision of the Ghana National Fire Service during early periods of the fire administration. CFO Edwin Ekow Blankson said Mr. Simpson has been a great influencer in his lifetime at duty of the GNFS.
The celebrant of the days’ agenda DCFO Mr. Ebenezer Simpson expressed gratitude and appreciation to the entire Officers, Staff and Cadets of the Ghana National Fire Service for the support.
The Greater Accra Regional Fire Service Commander
chaired the ceremony till its closure after the retiree was taking on a road tour within Accra.
