Musician, producer and Emklan Music boss Quophi Okyeame while celebrating his birthday released a song to exalt his Maker and project His goodness to the world.

Titled ‘edien’ – an Asante Twi word translated as ‘what’, Quophi Okyeame who veered from doing active music to production questions why all the great things in the world would be attributed to the devil when God, the Creator of the universe is able.

“If all the great things in this world are of the devil, how then is God great?” asks a puzzled Quophi Okyeame who appears to have taken inspiration from James 1.17 which says, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”

He expresses concern that these remarks are mostly made by Christians who are supposed to know how great their God is.

“The devil has nothing good to offer so let’s learn to glorify God for his works,” he sings. “So if Sarkodie raps so well, it’s God’s handiworks. Lilwin’s ability to entertain people with his craft is also a blessing from God.”

According to Quophi Okyeame, he seeks to quench the thirst of his loyal fans with the release of the piece and also let people know that it is misplaced to suggest that an elevation in the lives of people is of the devil.

“On this 6th June, my birthday, I decided to return to my first love (Music) to satisfy the few never die fans of mine who have been requesting. Even though I may not be rapping as they would expect, I believe this very expressive style of music I am embarking on will even rekindle the love for greater,” his post read.
