Opoku Agyemang Emmanuel also known as Odenkey outwitted Thomas Asarpong to win the first edition of Logsline Tennis Championship at the G.O/Eusbett Tennis Club in Eusbett Hotel, Sunyani.
Opoku Agyemang capitalised on his opponents weak backhand with a serious attacking game that led to his 7-5 victory over Thomas Asarpong in 45 minutes.
At 5 games all, Agyemang steered another of his trademark forehand down the line and raised his arms in triumph to win his first title.
Speaking after the game, Agyeman told ghanatennis.org that, ‘I am happy to win my first title and happy to end the year on a good note’.
President of G.O/Eusbett Tennis, Nana Obrempong Ameyaw ll, won third position after beating George Amoah 7-5.
In the other Men’s doubles finals, Coach Daniel Kwakye( Great Okoro) paired up with Vice President of G.O/Eusbett Tennis Club Mr. Alex Donkor to win the Round-Robbin games. George Amoah and Evans Azuma’s second and third place went to Dr. Philip Mantey and Jeff kusi
Mrs. Barbara Koduah won the ladies singles after beating Asantewaa Elizabeth and Beatrice Agyeman in the Ladies round-robbin games.
Special recognition award went to Paramount Chief of Mampong; Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, Lawyer Alexander Amponsah, Nana Obrepong Ameyaw Amponsem II and Mr. Alex Donkor.
