Twelve players which includes six male and six female would represent the country at the upcoming ITTF Nigeria open in Lagos.
The competition has been scheduled for the 7th to 11th August, 2019 at the Sir Molade Okoya Thomas Indoor Sports Hall at the Teslim Balogun stadium in Surulere in Lagos.
There will be seven titles on offer: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, under 21 men’s singles, under 21 women’s singles and for the first time, mixed doubles.
Ghana’s six men contingent would be led by the experienced playmaker Derek Abrefa and Felix Lartey, Emmanuel Asante, Emmanuel Ofori, William Asare and Patrick Twumasi.
With Celia Baah Danso also leading the female side, with Eva Adom-Amankwaa, Cynthia Kwabi, Frema Cecilia, Hilda Agbottah and Millicent Ankude making up the full team.
Team Ghana is expected to leave the shores of the country this weekend.
