Zdravko Logarûsíc named Zimbabwe head coach

Former Asante Kotoko coach, Zdravko Logarûsíc has been appointed as the head coach of the Zimbabwe national team.

Logarûsíc joins the South African side and will be assisted by Joey Antipas and Lloyd Chitembwe.

The Croatian trainer’s first game will be  against African champions in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier which comes off in March.

Logarûsíc has been tasked to qualify The Warriors to next year’s AFCON to be staged in Cameroon.

He will also come up against  Ghana in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers as Zimbabwe have been pitted alongside the Black Stars, South Africa and Ethiopia in Group G.

The 57-year had stint with Asante Kotoko and AshantiGold during his short stay in Ghana  as head coach.

He last coached the Sudan National Team where his contract was not renewed after expiring in December 2019.
