Maiden PAAG Homecoming championship ends Successfully; Attracts huge Partronage

The inaugural Past Athletes Association of Ghana, PAAG, Invitational championship ended on a good note last Saturday.
The 2-day event which came off from 24th to 25th June, 2022 at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi attracted huge partronage which includes sports enthusiasts, schools and officials.
The event was aimed at unearthing talents and served as a medium to develop athletics, promote cohesion and unity among former athletes both home and diaspora.
The event saw the participation of Ghana Armed Forces, University of Ghana, UDS, Amass, Ashanti Region Athletics team, Prisons, Police, GRA among other individuals.
The championship saw the participants compete in both track and field events which comprises of Javelin, Shot put, long and triple jumps, high jump, discus throws.
100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, 10,000m, 4X100m Relays and Hurdles.
Ishmael Arthur, Edwin Gadayi, Kudanu John, Grace Obour, Sarah Koomson, Kate Agyemang, Musah Mariama, Haruna Fati, Numo Benjamin, Nakousi David, Aba Sam were in their prime peaks for their various institutions.
Other promising young athletes also excelled massively at the event.
Emmanuel tuffour, Rex Brobbey, Wisdom Loh, Eric Nkansah, Leo Myles Mills, Gemma Acheampong among other prominent former track and field athletes played integral roles in the organization of the event.
The chairman of the PAAG, Mr. Andrew Kitcher, however, acknowledged the support of the athletes and participants in ensuring a successful event.
