“We are deeply grateful to the Ga Mantse for his fatherly leadership and unwavering support. His backing has given this event the recognition it truly deserves,” he said.

According to him, the annual event has received tremendous recognition from the Ga Traditional Council. He also acknowledged the support from corporate entities, attributing the success to Bills Microfinance over the past year.

“Bills Microfinance has been a consistent partner. Their support over the past year has helped us expand the reach of the walk and promote wellness across Ga Mashie,” he noted.

Nuumo Nikoi Amasah II, urged all Ghanaians and traditional leaders from across the country to participate in the exercise. He emphasised that the event would also serve as a platform to promote healthy lifestyles.

“This walk is more than tradition. It is about health, unity, and setting an example for the next generation. I encourage every Ghanaian to join us,” he urged.

The Ga Traditional Council has outlined security protocols and suitable guidelines to ensure a successful walk. The walk will commence from the “Mantse Agbonaa” in Jamestown, proceed through some principal streets, and climax with a musical performance, food bazar, and health screening exercise at Bannerman Road PZ.
