NSA issues directives on resumption of sporting activities amid COVID-19

The National Sports Authority has outlined directives on the resumption of some sporting activities in the country in line with the presidential directives issued on 31st May, 2020 by His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The authority in a press release on 1st June, 2020 by the Public Relations Officer Charles Amofa and sighted by amaniefm.com stated that some individual and non-contact sports can resume their respective training sessions.

These includes Athletics, Badminton, Table Tennis, Golf, Power lifting, Weightlifting, Cycling, Para Sports ( Individual non-contact sports), Rowing and Canoeing, Baseball and Softball, Horse racing and Squash.

However, the NSA emphasized that sporting events which involves team such as football, hockey, and volleyball remains suspended till July 31, 2020.
