Two persons have been arrested for attempting to burn to death Linlaar Akua,a 64 year old woman in Nakpanduri.
They allegedly made the attempt in January this year in the North East Region.
The suspects Subik Partuta Matthew , 28 and Maxwell Disong ,31 were however arrested at their hideout in Gyaketeykrom under Dadieso in the Western North Region.
They have since been transferred to Gambaga in the North East region to be arraigned before court.

The Complainant in the case , Linlaar Kantam , a Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) officer on January 16,2022 at about 9:40am met Subik Partuta Matthew and his friend Ned in Nakpanduri town and after offering them an advise as an uncle , the suspects were report offended and started harassing the complainant in public.
The complainant then went to report suspects to the police but they went into hiding.
Suspect Subik Partuta Matthew went to the complainants house same day with an ablution containing petrol to burn the house. The complainant’s mother, one Linlaar Akua, 64 who was home tried to stop the suspect from burning the house.
The suspect then poured the petrol on the victim’s body and set her ablaze then took to his heels.
The victim sustained serious burns together with her husband one James Linlaar who tried to quench the fire on her body.
Both were rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment.
Suspect Maxwell Disong who came back from Gyaketeykrom was seen carrying suspect Subik Partuta Matthew who was wielding AK47 rifle on his motorbike roaming in town sending warning to the complainant that he cannot do anything to him even with the police involvement.
The suspects later realized that the police were after them and absconded from the town.
Suspect Subik Partuta Matthew went into hiding in neighboring Togo but upon realizing that the police located him , he then relocated to Gyaketeykrom were both suspects were arrested.
