Gomoa Eduafokwa, a town in the Gomoa Central Constituency has benefitted from the construction of a modern 20-seater WC toilet with ancillary facilities from the Coastal Development Authority (CODA) under the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP).

The Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, Lawyer Jerry Ahmed Shaib is currently leading a monitoring exercise to inspect completed and ongoing projects in the 109 constituencies that make up the coastal development zone.

As part of efforts to promote quality health service delivery, the Authority is building a modern health post with essential facilities such as children’s, male and female wards. The facility also has a recovery ward, a theatre, 3 consulting rooms and 2 sidewards. Other essential services at the health post include a laboratory, dispensary, prenatal and antenatal centers. CODA is also constructing a 3-bedroom Doctor’s Bungalow.

Other on-going projects in the constituency include a 20-seater WC toilet with ancillary facilities at Gomoa Odumase, a 2-unit KG classroom block at Gomoa Jukwa and a CHPS compound at Anapanso-Kobina-Andor.

The projects are to help accelerate economic and social development based on Agona Central constituency’s needs. The IPEP enables communities to make input into the selection of prioritised projects which are approved and implemented by CODA.

IPEP is also known as the “one million dollars per constituency” initiative. The Programme is a flagship of the Akufo-Addo administration.
