A security analyst Alhaji Ibad Ibrahim is partially agreeing with drivers for not siding with governments decision to arm MTTD police officers on duty.

He explained that Ghana is a democratic country and does not need police force to comply by laws as compared to some other countries. Thus seeing police all over our surroundings with ammunition can be intimidating to the citizenry.

Considering the other side as well, the security analyst  said it’s unnatural for five police officers to be  killed within a month in a peaceful country like Ghana and if this should continue, Ghana will literally turn into a war zone. he added that since we are living in an extraordinary setting, an extraordinary solution measure must be adopted.

Alhaji Ibad Ibrahim is therefore pleading with the drivers to cope with the government to give a trial to the initiative which is yet to be implemented.

He made this submission in an interview with Accra based Amanie93.3 FM morning show host Nii  Sackey Superior.
